In lovingly assembling this illustrated Marian family activity book, the authors have followed the lead of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which says:
"The Church's devotion to the Blessed Virgin is intrinsic to Christian Worship. Devotion to Mary differs essentially from the adoration which is given only to the most Holy Trinity, and this Marian devotion greatly fosters that adoration of God. Marian devotions find a place in all seasons and all stages of life. As part of family life, they help the family and its individual members grow in their spiritual life as they learn from Mary's example and follow her guiding hand to her Son, Jesus Christ."
This lavishly illustrated book suggests many ways to incorporate that Marian devotion into the family life. Many of the main Marian feasts are incorporated into the book, and each feast is presented with a brief outline, some history, and various suggestions for a family celebration. Since there are literally hundreds of feasts honoring Our Lady, only some of the most well-known could be featured in this book
