30 Days at the Foot of the Cross met far beyond my expectations.
Especially considering this set of devotionals is from the heart of God IN Christ Jesus our Lord.

One of the best spiritual books I ever read. Many books can say "You need to stop doing this" (Insert name of sin here); the Bible commands it" or "You need to start doing that" (insert name of a righteous act here); the Bible commands it", but the heart of the problem is of course "The Heart" and Thirty Days at the Foot of the Cross focuses on our heart by reminding us why we should be disciples, and why we should be grateful, and believe me, a disciple who is grateful is a disciple who repents. No "do this" or "don't do this" book can magically grant you repentance, but this book will help get your heart to the point where you will want to repent.

I had the pleasure of reading this book for the first time in 1994. I heard so much about this book from others, I read it for myself and was amazed at the love which drove Jesus to the cross, and its power to have a permanent affect in my life.
It wasn't written from the perspective of one biased author. It was written by 30 different ordinary men and women from all backgrounds and walks of life. Each person expresses their personal view of the cross and how they experienced God’s immeasurable love in difficult circumstances. The cross is not a tragic story of defeat. It is a victory that will motivate you and bring you closer to the most important moment in human history, Jesus' victory on the cross.
I recently read this book again 2013 after nearly 20 years. I remembered times in my life when I needed the cross and its power. This book is an essential to my library.

This book features reflections from about 30 different authors. It made a really good daily devotional and really made me deeply ponder and reflect on somethings about Christ that I hadn't really focused on before. I was challenged by the book and subsequently read it twice and brought it for several friends. It really makes a great devotional for meaningful quiet times.

This book has a variety of topics that entail deep convictions that analyzes our everyday life comparing that to the cross using scriptures from the Bible. I love it because it is not your ordinary book, but changes your way of thinking how we should deny ourselves everyday. I love it!

Very good and informative book.
Our church just finished studying this book out leading up to Easter Sunday. Each chapter gives you a different insight into the cross. Each one calls us to be like Jesus. There are scripture references through each chapter and several more at the end take the study deeper.
