This book shows the wanderer from Christ that the Lord still loves each of us - no matter what - and He is there to forgive, heal, and show us the way to follow the King of Kings and Lord of Lords with joy and peace. This is the only way our longing personal spiritual void can be filled. The blessings of our Lord can be with us here on earth and throughout eternity in Heaven. What more can one hope for? Book is easy to understand, thought provoking, and answers so many questions. Don't miss out. Study it. Share it. Believe it! Blessings to all who partake in your personal reunion with our Lord Jesus Christ.

I first heard about this work on a Christian talk radio station; the title particularly catching my attention. I feel I've drifted too far from the Lord this past year and, after reading a good review on the book, decided this book (aside from scripture) just might be a good aid in rekindling my fire for the Lord. I ordered it and upon receiving it in the mail, I immediately scanned the table of contents to see what I was in for. Even the chapter headings were already speaking my language! I read the headings aloud to my wife and she decided she wanted to read it with me.

So where then does it all go sour for me and her? From what I can tell, the author’s conclusion to all of us who feel restless and empty is that we are not saved and people who are saved never feel restless and empty. That one dimensional mind set is damaging to the Christian faith, in my opinion. Not all non-Christians are unhappy with their life. Likewise, not all Christians are always happy with theirs. Jesus said that it rains on the just and the unjust (or righteous depending on your version of the Bible). As a follower of Christ, we’ll all still experience hard times and times where our lives seem pointless. Jesus didn’t die on the cross to save us from a boring and restless life anymore that He died to save us from troublesome times. We all go through these things at some point in our lives. Jesus died to save us from eternal damnation! Our short and fleeting lives are minuscule compared to eternity and our eternal destination was His focus on the fateful day He hung on that cross.

To those of you who, at one point, have repented of your sins and made a commitment to Jesus but don’t feel the same enthusiasm you once did, it’s a clear sign you (this includes me) need to get back to the basics. That is, seeking the Lord’s face through prayer and devotional daily. However, don’t let ANYONE rob you of the truth of your salvation! To those of you who haven’t repented and given your life over to Him but are thinking about it, I can’t in good conscience recommend this book. The stories in it are fictional with fictional people. Not only fictional but all the characters are successful business men who are “looking for the next challenge”. Apart from that, the conclusions fall short and lack impact. I feel this book is unworthy of the title.

I mean no disrespect to the author, Mr. Morley. I’m sure he’s a sincere man of God and that his intentions were for the best with writing this book; which is why I give it 2 stars instead of 1. I also understand he’s a best selling author. So, he must be doing something right. Instead of reading this though, I’m going to offer some alternatives to it. “The Life You Always Wanted” by John Otberg and “God is Faithful” by David Wilkerson. Both of these books really spoke to me. I could recommend more but I’ll leave it at that. Thank you for anyone who took time to read this review. I also would like to apologize to anyone I may have offended with my words. It wasn’t my intent. God Bless!

First my disclaimer - this is a perspective from a woman. The book started out so well. I was feeling like I had finally found something that would help me focus and clarify my feelings of the futility of life. It was amazing, I was excited. But about half way through the book through the remainder of the book all he did was give the salvation message. I was disappointed. There are a lot of us that are walking with Jesus but still have those feeling of living a worthless life. I felt the book started strong but ended with a disappointing thud.
