You should be aware of the methods espoused by this book. Are they truly endorsed by Christ? Will they truly fill the soul hunger we feel? There really is a lack in many of our lives, but the hunger can only be filled by real communion with Christ, rather than by centering down or contemplative prayer mantras, which empty the mind. Our hunger will be filled when our minds are filled with the promises of God in Scripture and our hearts are open to receive the actual communication of the Holy Spirit. In contrast, emptying our minds leaves them open to spiritual influences which may not be positive.

I refer you to John Witcombe's Feb 4, 2010 critique of this book, published on amazingdiscoveries.org, at http://amazingdiscoveries.org/ad-newsletter-archive-summer-2009-Hunger.

I’ve been blessed enough to be mentored by this Godly man for more than half of my career in ministry. His wisdom and insight comes straight from his daily walk with Jesus, and he shared those in this book. It’s a great read on whatbthat walk can look like and the chapter on worldview alone can open your eyes up to some of our biggest challenges and greatest opportunities. Great personal read, great Small Grouo resource.

This is an excellent book on how to fill that spiritual hunger inside every person. I strongly urge every sincere Christian to read this book and fill that hunger for a deep and meaningful relationship with God.

This book gives Richard Foster's CELEBRATION OF DISCIPLINE a run for the money. A definite keeper. Easy writing style, much fodder for discussion. Great for a small group. Produces real spiritual growth as you implement the ideas. Well grounded in the Bible.
