The last of the Kellerville series wraps up a great continuing story-line! Melanie's heart broke the day her husband passed away (in the first book), Nate's the day his long time girlfriend walked away after not being able to deal with his chronic disease. Can God mend two hearts & bring them together for a lifetime full of love? Add in the mix two young, rambunctious boys who need direction since the passing of their father. Nate fills that role when they sign up for little league baseball and they thrive under his guidance! The author weaves a wonderful tale of healing and finding true love again after tragedy.

The only thing I didn't find a satisfactory ending to was how the Drakes (Melanie's in-laws) threats were resolved. One can only assume it all worked itself out, but for me, it just left a lot of questions unanswered and left me hanging! Other than that, it's truly a sweet ending to a great three book series. You won't regret picking up these books!

Hometown Dad is an enjoyable book. The characters feel like real people and their issues are similar to ones that most of us have dealt with at sometime. Melanie has self esteem issues because of being raised in foster care and from the disapproval of her deceased husband's parents. Nathan is afraid to commit to a relationship because of a chronic health problem that broke up his last relationship. Melanie's children are typical young boys and like most children provide laughter for us while embarrassing their mother.
I'm not going to give away any more of the plot but if you'd like to read a love story that will leave you feeling good and remind you to examine your relationship with Jesus, you'll like this story.

This is the third book in the series - and the BEST!!!

We met both Nathan and Melanie in the first book. The background surrounding her husband's death is covered in the last couple of chapters of that book. The fact that Tim was at one time a "real" person makes this one even more special! Melanie was broken after her husband's death. His parents don't like her at all and make life pretty hard for her. It gets worse throughout the book, but she and Nathan handled it very well!!!

This was such a sweet story. Though they were a bit apprehensive about the way they felt about each other, they were still willing to see where their relationship would go. Melanie's two sons were absolutely adorable!!! They were not perfect and that made the story even better. Stitches, a broken arm, in a new relationship. The way the boys were involved in the ending was awesome as well!!! The ending was sweet.

That's all I can say - don't want to ruin any of the surprises! You just gotta read it!

All these books go so well together. The storyline flows well between all the books. I recommend all the books in the series.
