Perfect Peace was a book selection for our book club at the beginning of 2013. I am so glad I had a chance to read this brilliant piece. Author Daniel Black told this story with emotions, laughter, compassion, sadness, and characterization! It is said that "perception is everything and that we many times categorize people based on our perception". During the reading of this novel their were many OH NO moments and I can't believe she did that! moments. The story line brought real life situations to all 340 pages

Perfect Peace Lyrics. My heart's pounding in my chest, remind me again who You are I struggle to take a breath, tell me I'm safe in Your arms You're seated upon the throne, the universe at Your command Show me that I'm not alone, no, I'm not alone

Perfect Peace Lyrics. My heart's pounding in my chest, remind me again who You are I struggle to take a breath, tell me I'm safe in Your arms You're seated upon the throne, the universe at Your command Show me that I'm not alone, no, I'm not alone. Though I'm tossed by the wind and the crashing waves, crashing waves With one word all my fears start to fade away, fade away. You keep me in perfect peace, perfect peace You keep me in perfect peace, perfect peace

We booked directly with them and all went very smoothly.

My partner and I have just returned from enjoying a perfect week at this family run hotel. We booked directly with them and all went very smoothly. We enjoyed a premium room just yards from the pool and the sea. Views were glorious hotel was spotlessly clean and people were relaxed and friendly.

Perfect Peace opens with the saga of our spirit's journey from the perfection of Heaven where we are bathed in God's love and peace, into the reality of a fallen world, and the conflict that produces. It moves on to provide snapshots of blessing in action. From there, twenty-two chapters focus on various aspects of peace. The Lord Jesus Christ suffered at the Cross as payment in exchange for our peace. It is that important. Topics include: "Peace that Passes Understanding" which deals with the ability to sleep and with young children's learning to accept things that cannot be changed (such as car rides in car seats!). "Peace in Difficult Relationships" addresses timing, God-pleasing reactions, and hope for difficult relationships that are a part of the human condition. "Peace as a Weapon" is an interesting approach to taking ground and living at peace in the midst of conflict-filled conditions. And, it doesn't stop there! This book, with your investment of time and thought, will grow your spirit in peace. "A book about peace written by someone who grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth would not even get a glance from me. By contrast, Crystal grew up with a generous allotment of difficulties in her world, and she still has a somewhat unstable environment, as most of us do. Since she has found a way to live with internal peace in a non-peaceful world, what she has to say is worth hearing. But this is not a book about her journey, as interesting as that would be. It is a tool to help you on your journey to find peace in your core, in spite of the tumult in your external world." Arthur Burk Anaheim, CA

We are blessed every time we bless others. Think of concentric circles of grace being extended further and knowledge of the truth of who God is growing everytime the blessing is spoken ~ over your children, your grandchildren ~ for those whom God has gathered to you ~ for those who have no one to speak the truth of who they are or who they will become in this world. We have that honor! It is never too late to begin again and bless those in our circle and to extend out ~ with the fullness of God's Love and Grace. You, are the beloved, in whom God is well pleased.

This book is a rich treasure map that will guide you on the journey of discovery of your true essence and into confident freedom.

I've never read a Crystal Wade book, but so far, this book is what I needed during this time in my life. I thank God for the counselor who directed me to this book and it's been a huge help & comfort to me. There's certain things in the book where I don't particularly see eye to eye but overall this book helps you to find the peace that you need and that your child needs. I definitely recommend it to all parents.

Thirty years of research has shown how nurturing children (and adults) using blessings based on biblical promises promotes healing and wholeness. Jesus came from a culture where parents routinely blessed their children, wives blessed their husbands, and husbands blessed their wives. This was done at least every week before the Sabbath meal. Today, unfortunately, our culture has lost the understanding of how powerful and life-giving blessings are. The Bible tells us that life and death are in the tongue. In this powerful new book, Crystal Wade highlights how children who have received blessings from Scripture have a great hunger for God's Word. They have a strong sense of morality, a high level of spiritual discernment, a marked ability to move quickly from toxic emotions to a place of joy, and relate in healthy, non-envious ways to their siblings.

Simply put, reading these blessings over and over helps build a child's spirit! I can think of no better gift or investment that a parent could make in the life of his or her child. Just imagine the impact your children can have for the Kingdom of God as they are healed, made whole, and released into their destinies at an early age.

Sadly, many children have never experienced blessings in their lives. At Compassion House, a visitation center for children who have taken into state custody and placed in foster care, we work with children and families who have been traumatized by abuse and neglect. All of the families are fragmented by the time we meet them. Our mission is to marshal as many life-giving tools and resources as possible, offering people access to dignity and hope. We teach classes in Christian parenting, grief and loss recovery, marriage enrichment, and life skills, in addition to providing a center for supervised visitation and mentoring. We work to help families overcome generational patterns and strongholds of thinking that have bound them all their lives. Toward this end, we have distributed hundreds of copies of Pure Joy (in book and audio formats) to individuals throughout Northwest Georgia and Tennessee. We have received dozens of testimonials from parents and foster parents who tell us how they and their children experience peace, calm, and a renewed sense of balance and joy after spending time with these blessings.
We are now excited to have this newest book, which we likewise plan to place in as many hands as possible. Our hope is that we can train as many caregivers as possible with these fresh applications of truth, so that they, in turn, can train their children in the way they should go, with an eye on empowering them to fulfill their own unique destinies.

This book demonstrates that to a great extent we are all "strangers in a foreign country, with no one to interpret for us." As such, we have all felt small, vulnerable, and helpless. None of us has lived a life free of from trauma, often resulting in childhood vows relating to self-protection and independence. But, as Crystal Wade points out, we have a Hero in the Lord Jesus Christ, who paid the price to ensure that we could experience restoration and intimacy. Amazingly, we have the opportunity to partner with God as we, too, become interpreters for our children (whether as a parent, a grandparent, or a caregiver), speaking the truth in love and teaching their human spirits how to connect with and follow God. As we and our children are blessed with these truths, we can all begin to walk in paths of righteousness without fighting ourselves and our true destinies every step of the way.

Stephen and Crystal Wade and their children are forerunners in this timely move of God! We are honored to walk alongside them in this exciting journey. May you be blessed with both joy and peace as your spirit awakens to truth and loving affirmation--special God-given gifts that have always been there, just waiting to be recognized and unpacked.

Perfect Peace is a wonderful tool to have for parents and expectant parents. I highly recommend the book to all expectant parents to use during their pregnancies. Perfect Peace is a well written book by Crystal Wade who has a heart to see people come into the fullness of our Heavenly Father.
It seems to me we have so many tools to help us with our soul but not our spirit. As scripture says we are made up of spirit, soul, and body. So, this book is an excellent tool to develop and nurture the spirit.

I wholeheartedly recommend "Perfect Peace" for any parents or expecting parents. The book contains great practical advice on parenting with many real life examples and testimonies. I got my copy of this book when I found out I was pregnant. My husband and I prayed these prayers over our baby, still in the womb, for months. We definitely see the results of that investment - this baby really has an aura of "Perfect Peace." Because we developed a routine of speaking to him from the womb, using the prayers in this book as a guide, he was already accustomed to us speaking to him as an infant. We learned how to explain things to his spirit and help him navigate through some upsetting situations. It is amazing to see a baby respond on that level.

The author, Crystal Wade, writes about taking a spiritual approach to your child's development. With all the focus these days on physical and cognitive progress, it is refreshing to have another measure of children's development: their spirits.

Crystal Wade has provided us with a thoughtful, spiritual, and highly useful tool in her second book, Perfect Peace. The concept of bestowing blessings is a time-honored, cross-cultural one which espouses Biblical tradition and allows the giving of a great gift. This book presents a very user-friendly, thematic approach to finding just the right blessing for each situation: "Peace in the Midst of Storms," "God's Timing," and "Sabbath Rest" are just a very few among so many very specific blessings which match the needs of any recipient, no matter the age. Besides a short scripted blessing, there is always a Scripture to accompany, making the entire experience completely founded on the Bible.
As a mother of two college-aged kids (and the adopted mother of countless other kids, of all ages), it has been my privilege to lay hands upon these kids in bodies of all sizes and bless them. They have anxiously brought friends to be blessed as well, calling the whole experience cool.
I have no doubt that the Spirit of Heaven accompanies these blessings and doles out personal portions of peace onto the grateful receivers.
