This is the best available biography of an important figure in the history of fiction, and the history of popular occultism. Be careful while reading, as projections, surmises and speculations are intermingled with facts without appropriate separation.

Interesting, well written, fast read, an account of an historically important author who was the most popular literary figure of her time constantly critiqued and berated by male journalists for her outspoken opinion on social and political issues in her criticisms and satires, along side her highy imaginitive mystical and romantic adventures! Highly recommended. Also worth the read, Marie Corelli's "Sorrows of Satan" which captures the spirit of the times, the value systems that honor integrity, honesty, and truth, universal examples manifesting positive energy and spiritual growth.
