Forever My Lady: Diana Paperback – October 1, 1997. After her death, I bought as many magazines and books about her as I could get my hands on, fearing I would never be able to see her image again. I needed her persona to draw inspiration from, and now I would no longer have that option. This book presents an average re-telling of Diana's life, but where it stands out is in the extensive genealogical tree of the Spencers that it offers on chapter 1, showing their almost constant proximity to British Royalty through the centuries.

Barbara Cartland Biography - Barbara Cartland was born in Edgbaston .

Barbara Cartland Biography - Barbara Cartland was born in Edgbaston Birmingham on 9th July, 1901 into a wealthy family. She was the only child of her parents. Her father was a British. Cartland was labeled as the pink lady for her love of pink chiffon, clothing and jewelry. Cartland was married twice to Alexander McCorquodale (1927-33) and to Hugh McCorquodale (1936-63). Apparently, the two men were cousins. Carland books always have a very happy ending where the heroines are very vulnerable and compliant and the heroes are men hailing from the aristocratic background, receiving their princess on a horse. She died on May 21, 2000 after a short illness.

From The New York Times bestselling author of America’s Queen-the definitive. Diana, Princess of Wales, is nothing less than an icon, remembered in death as vividly as she appeared in life. Yet throughout her brief life, Diana was plagued by rumor, innuendo, and scandal. Her father's second marriage to Raine Legg made Barbara Cartland (Diana's favourite author, incidentally) her step-grandmother. At the time of her birth she was the 11th cousin to the heir apparent - Prince Charles.

Dame Mary Barbara Hamilton Cartland, DBE, CStJ (9 July 1901 – 21 May 2000) was an English novelist who wrote romance novels, one of the best-selling authors as well as one of the most prolific and commercially successful worldwide of the 20th century.

Barbara Cartland’s books will go on forever,’’ he insists loyally. She is the only author in the western world who writes pure romance. I would never read a book like Fifty Shades or those by so-called romantic authors that are all sex and no story. With Barbara Cartland you get no sex but love, romance and a happy ending.
