Leonard Woolf was "there" for so very many of the 20th century's most important literary, political, governmental, social and publishing events, and his personal inolvements are described matter-of-factly and without bragadocio. Always interesting, his penchant for providing direct observation and descriptive color to his life's involvements and those of his remarkable friends and acquaintances always provides for engaging and quite instructive reading. I can hardly wait to start the 5th and final volume of his most valuable and informative autobiography. His was a life worth living and it appears to have been lived importantly, honestly and well.

Fascinating. A contribution by the relatively unknown and unappreciated member of that well known marriage. Entirely written, all five volumes, when he was in his 80's. The first sentence of the first volume alone is a wonderful contribution to seniors anxious about their approaching end. It has affected me very positively.

An Excellent book by Bloomsbury group stalwart Leonard Woolf. I recommended it highly . I liked it very much indeed

An interesting preliminary to the years of 1939 to 1941;
Virginia's last and troubled years. I have ordered the
last book in this series "The Journey, not the arrival
matters."
