Description

Instead, its pragmatic purpose is to smooth the path of the busy administrator who is under pressure to get the integration done quickly, and done right, the first time.

Fergus Strachan has not been working with Exchange Server since version ., because he's not that old. He has, however, been designing and implementing Exchange Server-based solutions for over 10 years, primarily in London for academia, central government, banks, and private businesses.

There are a lot of changes with ISA 2006 SP1. This biggest is SAN support for Certificates which is huge for Exchange 2007. Therefore, if you didn't know about the changes with SP1 you would be taking the long route.

Sorry - this was not worth the money spent. It focused too much on the Authors love for Microsoft, and only wanted to push his agenda to use ISA as a firewall. He has to get real, most environments use other (Unix/Linux) firewall solutions and the culture of the working world does not work in his apparent Ivory tower view of the business world. Do not waste your money, read the other reviews!!!

if I could give a negative review, I would

There are a lot of changes with ISA 2006 SP1. This biggest is SAN support for Certificates which is huge for Exchange 2007. Page 178 "ISA Server does not yet support SAN certificates..." Therefore, if you didn't know about the changes with SP1 you would be taking the long route. Microsoft TechNet Library has a good website for Publishing Exchange Server 2007 with ISA Server 2006.
