Dulaney has written over 3 dozen books on MCSE or related topics, and very VERY few on Linux. This book will get through the exam (Level I, 101), but barely, even if you memorise and understand everything verbatim. This man shows how truley new he is to this topic. Excellent as a portable revision tool, but only after you have gone through a more thorough reading of a more comprehensive book on Linux. For more indepth stuff, I would hertily recommend "LPIC in a Nutshell". Costs the same and covers both Level I exams (101 AND 102) with double the material and pages.

Exam topic lists make referencing easy. Exam Alerts, Sidebars, and Notes interspersed throughout the text keep you focused on what you need to know. com/?book 078975875X).

Focuses on helping the internetwork professional prepare to pass the Internetworking+ exam and serves as a complement to the i-Net+ Exam Prep. Each book includes proven test-taking strategies, warnings on trick questions, timesaving study tips and shortcuts. Contains sample questions and practice tests, much like the format of the actual exams. With the high demand for qualified Internet professionals rapidly increasing, and with the popularity of CompTIA's A+ and Network+ certifications, i-Net+ certification will be highly desirable to certification candidates and prospective employers.

used this book along with the cramsession pdf and as many online sample test as possible to study for the i-Net+ cert.
only found one typo in the book and its on the review sheet at the front of the book. the Class A subnet mask lists 116K instead of 16 million.
the questions at the end of the book are much simpler than the actual test questions.
however, you'll get a good idea of the topics to be covered on the test from the book. actually the book covers more topics than the test itself.
you'll find a few semi-verbatim questions on the actual test that the book has simply paraphrased, but that's about it for question similarities.
i'd say this book will help you pass, but don't think it should be your only source for the cert.
good luck.

This book covers the points of the I-net+ exam in a very fast-paced "Look, we already know you know some of this stuff, let's get over it quick and move on" manner!
I'm heading out to take my test in a couple of weeks and I'm fairly confident I'm going to pass! The pretest in the back of the book and the testing at each chapter made me go back and check out the information I needed to brush up on so I can pass the first time I take the exam (and at 190 dollars a pop for the exam... getting it right the first time is important)!
If you don't have the time to sit and read everything there ever was on the internet, pick up this book!

After my experience with the Linux+ and Server+ Exam Crams I was ready to scrap this series all together. This book has partially restored my faith. I took the I-Net+ exam today and passed fairly easily and a good deal of the credit belongs to this book. About 30% of the material on my exam wasn't in this book but given that it is intended to be brief and concise, I feel that is acceptable. This should be a sufficient supplement to anyone looking to take this exam, provided you have a modest level of experience in the related technologies.

I used this book as my only study resource for the i-Net+ exam, and passed with flying colors. It is well written, covers the exam content very well, and has all the right practice questions. Highly recommended.

I wrote and past the i-Net+ (1K0-002) today (Mar-5-2004). This book contributed 60% of the content.
Though the questions in the book assisted with the material of the book very very few actually came in the exam.
The book help moreso with understanding the concepts.
The exam was hard... damn hard. I passed with a 83% mark.

A little dated with the info, but none the less good info. I have started reading but have put down the book, as the beginning is basic stuff. I will continue to read and hopefully get into some better info down the line. So far so good.

CompTIA has created a new stir in the computer industry with once again giving a certification that is vendor neutral and once again right in the heart of the IT profession. Coriolis has given everyone the opportunity to pass the new exam and this book makes short work of the exam.
Compiling with every exam objective the Exam Cram for INET+ is the perfect study companion for your quest for success. The book includes a "Cram Sheet", exam questions, tips, hints and suggestions as well as need to know more sections.
As with most Exam Cram books, this one is about 350 pages packed with pictures, diagrams and the essential information you'll need. Having taken the exam twice and passing the second time I know this book would have helped the first time around and saved me serious cash in the process.
Costing $29.99, or one sixth of the exam price, this book is the first step. Stop wasting time, grab a copy and give yourself the best possible chance you won't be disappointed. Congratulations Coriolis on a job very well done.
By the way I passed both exams with 90% or better using this book.
Wheather you are persuing i-Net+ Certification or not, this book will let you know most of terminologies that you've heard but can't comprehend. It is essential book to have for any internet users. These book covers most of basic techonologies that is used on the internet. You probably have experience with internet quite some time and probably know more than www & FTP. As i-Net+ certification doesn't require in-depth knowledge on each technology, this book covers as many areas as possible in very organized manner. Again like any other cram series book, it's hard find typos or mistakes in these book. Save yourself some time, and get your i-Net+ certification next week.
Additional Comments on Aug, 27th, 2001: I recently heard one of my friend who's also MCSE saying that "I admire people with i-Net+ Certification". I laughed in my mind and came back home. Right after I got home I really had to open up this book again and think "How come this test was soooo easy for me?" 392 Pages long, hmmmm... NOT BAD!
