Should be called Delphi 4 for dummies.
Does not even have ADO , which came out in Delphi 5.
And he dares to call it a book about Delphi 6 !
I returned my copy and used the refund to get Mastering Delphi 6.

I bought this book and I returned this book. With no mention of Biz Snap, Web Snap, etc., you feel very deceived. He should have waited another month or two and made it a real Delphi 6 book.

The title off this book must be Delphi for Dummies, or beginners, there are not delphi 6 information like CLX full explanation, webSnap, DataSnap, XML components, and others new features.

NO WebSnap and Web Services technology expalined at all. It is OK for beginners but doesn't cover at all the cool new features of Delphi 6 Web technologies.

If you are a developer you should know that someday we have to make applications to many operative systems, like Linux, mac, win, etc; the advanage of knowing Delphi is that you can make an app for windows and if you want to to make an app for Linux you won't be obligated to learn another language, all you have to do is to make your program in Kylix, 'cause this tool is the delphi for Linux. You can't do it with vbasic 'cause visual basic doesn't exist for Linux (yet)
