Undergraduate Texts in Mathematics (UTM) is a series of undergraduate-level textbooks in mathematics published by Springer-Verlag.
Undergraduate Texts in Mathematics (UTM) is a series of undergraduate-level textbooks in mathematics published by Springer-Verlag. The books in this series tend to be written at a more elementary level than the similar Graduate Texts in Mathematics series, although there is a fair amount of overlap between the two series in terms of material covered and difficulty level.

The topics covered in this text are those usually covered in a full year's course in finite mathematics or mathematics for liberal arts students. They correspond very closely to the topics I have taught at Western New England College to freshmen business and liberal arts students. They include set theory, logic, matrices and determinants, functions and graph ing, basic differential and integral calculus, probability and statistics, and trigonometry. Because this is an introductory text, none of these topics is dealt with in great depth.

Edward J. LeCuyer (author). Paperback 420 Pages, Published: 21/12/2011. He invented APL for educational purpo ses. That is, APL was designed to be a consistent, unambiguous, and powerful notation for communicating mathematical ideas.
The book covers several advanced topics, not commonly treated in introductory texts, such as Trachtenbrot's undecidability theorem.
Gerstein’s book states quite plainly that the text is designed for use in a transitions course. Dr. Gerstein is now a friend of mine. I highly recommend this textbook in the Field of Logic and Mathematics. Nothing benefits a textbook author more than having his goals clearly in mind, and Gerstein’s book achieves its goals. I would be happy to use it in a transitions course. Steven Krantz, American Mathematical Monthly. One person found this helpful.

Undergraduate Texts in Mathematics. Article · January 2015 with 10 Reads. Based on an honors course taught by the author at UC Berkeley, this introduction to undergraduate real analysis gives a different emphasis by stressing the importance of pictures and hard problems. How we measure 'reads'. Topics include: a natural construction of the real numbers, four-dimensional visualization, basic point-set topology, function spaces, multivariable calculus via differential forms (leading to a simple proof of the Brouwer Fixed Point Theorem), and a pictorial treatment of Lebesgue theory. Introduction to Cryptography, Johannes A. Buchmann.
