But not if you're on a Mac. Windows oriented, even the downloadable files for use with the textbook are packaged as .exe files but only contain gifs and jpegs. Why would they even do that? Even my windows friends were reluctant to download them. They don't even try to put in any Mac screenshots or keyboard commands, and it is overstuffed with pages and pages of pictures, I guess to make it longer and more expensive.

On the other hand, it is easy to follow. I'm taking the class now, so it was the required text.

The Introductory Concepts & Techniques version of this book was my required reading material for my web design training. I absolutely loved the format. Very easy to follow and the provided screen captures were a definite asset.

As a result, on my own, I went looking for a more advanced version in this series of books by this author and found the Comprehensive Concepts and Techniques. I have to say I'm just as pleased with this version. It's an easy to follow format with a great deal of information. While a little more expensive... given the number of pages (over 700) of information it's understandable... to me it was worth every penny!

This was a book required for a college class. I would recommend it for anyone who wanted to learn Dreamweaver on their own. It is very easy to follow and gives you some of the tricks to easier web design.

This is an excellent book for learning Dreamweaver. I have an older version of the software and was able to find the exact book for that software allowing me to learn on my own.

This was a required course for a communtiy colleg Drem Weaver class. It lays things out in a well organized way. Pictures of the screens make it easy to understand. The worst part of web development is coding. You dont need to be an expert in Java script to design web pages using this book and software package.

This is a very good book with clear and precise set of instructions. This book can be used in a classroom setting also as self teaching book for beginner and advanced student. It is appropriate for all levels. I would recommend.

I tried to purchase this item from Amazon. On April 24 2010, Amazon informed me that the item was shipped on April 22, 2010. Then on April 26, Amazon sent me another e-mail saying that the item was out of stock. How can I trust the companies that I am dealing with?

I am not reviewing this product. I am writing about my disappointment with Amazon.
Used this book for my college class and learned everything from CSS to adding Flash to my websites. I uses colored screen shots to make the learning process enjoyable and easy to follow. The exercises are available online to everyone with a lot of extras. No CD necessary thank god.
