Love this book. I love the chocolate croissants sold at many coffee shops. Usually they are gone first thing in the morning. I started searching for a recipe to copy the croissants. This cookbook is very detailed, and has some wonderful recipes. I love to challenge my cooking ability, and I am so proud that I can now bake chocolate au-pain with the best of chefs. They turned out so great. I would recommend this cookbook to any baker that really wants to learn French baking. The book it very detailed and easy to follow the directions.

Not for a beginner, but for myself, a novice, who has only attemped puff pastry one other time, I had excellent results following her instructions. This book is worth it's weight in gold.

I was able to read this book pretty in-depth before I bought it and I LOVED IT! It is so useful and has so many helpful details. One of the things that I did have a problem with was that I do not have the caliber of oven that the bakery has and the baking times are slightly different but other than that, loved it.

This is the ultimate book for the home baker. It has instructions on how to do all the essentials that are often over looked but make such a difference in the outcome of the product. No detail is left to guess work. Everything you could want to bake from simple cookies to exotic pastries are in here. My first batch of chocolate chip cookies looked picture perfect and tasted even better. The results I've always wanted I've now found through the fine writing and inspiring stories in this book. You must have it in your library.
