The Church Potluck Supper Cookbook: Over 500 Hearty, Delicious Recipes for Friends, Family, and Community. 1580628389 (ISBN13: 9781580628389). The copy I am looking at has an error on p. 187 calling for 1/3 cup of flour when it should be 3 cups so proceed cautiously. Probably wouldn’t have noticed but it’s fall and I need a pumpkin recipe.

This hearty casserole is great for a family reunion or church supper. When a friend made it for a church supper, I had to have the recipe. It's great for parties, potlucks and family reunions. I love this particular cookbook. I first saw it at a museum in Wisconsin. I ordered the book several times as a gift for my family members. I is just overflowing with tasty recipes. I've always thought some of the very BEST food can be found at churches socials. I would highly recommend this cookbook. Delivery and price was excellent on this item. Thanks.

I checked this book out from our local library. While thumbing through recipes, I was putting sticky note markers on recipes I wanted to try out. After noticing the book was filling up with little markers, I knew this was a keeper and worth purchasing. I was so glad Amazon had it available. I highly recommend this cookbook!

While I purchased this book for its recipes, I found myself more interested in the chapter introductions, which are lovely memories and helpful hints about church social (and of course, food-centered) functions such as bake sales, potlucks, funeral meals, etc. I found most of the recipes a little too plain for my taste (although there are a few gems), but the editorials are wonderful. Would be particularly helpful for someone who is getting involved with church life and who hasn't grown up in the church.
