This cookbook is anything but casual. It is more casual chic! The cookbook has a dynamic and colorful cover with brilliant photography. It could be used to decorate or dress up a kitchen library.

The cookbook is a hardcover book with a dust cover. The cookbook has 108 pages and is published by Time-Life Books and produced and printed in China.

The cookbook is divided into fourteen (14) small sections: Introduction, casual entertaining basics, planning menus, setting the table, folding napkins, arranging flowers, basic recipes, starters, salads & side dishes, main courses, and desserts.

It also has a glossary and index. The menu planning section shows you how to plan for a variety of special events: Weekday supper for friends, homecoming celebration, Sunday family dinner, and casual feasts.

The folding napkin section gives you a step-by-step guide for creating various exotic napkin folds, e.g., bouquet, flower pot, and pointed pocket.

The arranging flowers section gives you ideas and a step-by-step how-to-guide for arranging flowers in a pot or vase. The starters section ranges from soups, to crab cakes appetizer, to easy to make horsd'oeuvres.

The salads and side dishes really get a meal on the right foot. I particularly like the Asian-inspired shrimp salad with tropical fruit.

The main course recipes show you how to prepare exotic recipes such as seafood, beef, chicken, and lamb.

Two of my favorites are the roasted leg of lamb with braised garlic, sherry, and thyme, and the baked chicken with artichokes.

The dessert section offers a host of delicious delectables such as Mexican wedding cookies, caramelized pumpkin flan, and peach bread pudding.

There are so many chic and yummy recipes; I have difficulty choosing just one from each section. Sometimes I choose more than one to overlap for other courses.
