This book is a recent purchase, and I am delighted with it! Great histories, menu selections, and chefs' tips. The wine choices are extraordinary! Well-done (a bit of culinary humor) !

The reviews indicated it had recipes from Surrogate Hostess but I didn't find any. That was my reason for purchasing it.

Gave as a gift, they said they enjoyed it and will use it.

Real recipes from top restaurants in Seattle. I call these "working-dog" recipes. In other words, these recipes are good enough to earn a living for the restaurants which use them. Not like TV show recipes or hit (usually miss) recipes from unknown sources. The first three recipes I tried, from Wild Ginger Restaurant in Seattle -- are "best in class." Will be enjoying them for life. Now learning more. Wow -- what a book.

Best idea ever for a cookbook! There are amazing restaurants in this book with great recipes. I would recommend this cookbook to anyone!
