Easy Gluten-Free is a very informative book, but the title is a little misleading Then there are more than 100 recipes sorted by meal type. I was surprised to see the wide selection of gluten free recipes.

Easy Gluten-Free is a very informative book, but the title is a little misleading. I assumed I would be reading a cookbook full of easy recipes, but that was not the case. The book explains how easy it is to live a gluten-free life. Yes, recipes are included, but most of them are not all that easy to make, and the ingredients, at least in my area of the country, are not all that easy to find. Then there are more than 100 recipes sorted by meal type. There are many recipes in there that I would like to try.

Easy Gluten Free is my introduction into wiping gluten from my daily diet in my continuing quest for optimum health. The book lists over 100 recipes that sound delicious, each section of the book is separated into 2 gluten-free types--quick & easy and more creative. The 2 authors are both registered dieticians, & most recipes have easy-to-find ingredients, with nutritional data listed @ the end of each recipe. There are also several pages of FAQs I found very helpful.

As a gluten-free newbie I found this book a good place to start my dietary tweaks, see if I feel any improvement after reducing the pervasive preponderance of gluten in most packaged foods.

This book has loads of great and very healthy recipes. A word of warning to those on Gluten and Dairy/Casein free diet, many of these recipes contain diary. Since our household is on this diet, I was quite limited with the number of recipes I could make from this book. For those who are gluten free only, I would highly recommend!

this was a gift. I saw Marlisa Brown in a Gluten Free class. She is a very good speaker and her recipes look good.

I'm new to GF after being diagnosed with celiac disease 3 months ago. I found this book at the library, tried a handful of recipes, then had to order it online. All of the recipes have turned out well and many of them are just superb! Highly recommend.

I ordered this as a Christmas present for a friend who recently discovered she cannot eat anything with gluten. She has tried the recipes and just raved about the book.

It was a bit helpful, but later I found out from watching the Dr. Oz show that there are more calories, carbs and less fiber in most gluten free foods.

Let's be honest about it. There is no such thing as "easy" gluten-free living. But this book is clearly a winner for people who need to eat this way.

The authors present good basic information on what is "gluten-free" and what is not, and how to make sure of adequate nutrition after making such a drastic dietary change.

There's a good section on Resources, with information like "Where to buy gluten-free whole grains." For those who like to cook, there are recipes like "Baked Quinoa Ratatouille" and "Sage Butter Sautéed Chicken Breasts and Pancetta over Millet," as well as a 28-day "Gluten-Free Meal Plans" section. Some readers will also be grateful for information on how to grind almond flour, or inspired by the question "Why buy processed chicken sausage when you can so easily make your own?"

Alas, I couldn't stay the course. I tried it as a brief experiment because I have a relative who for the rest of her life must eat this way. I greatly admire the endurance and courage of all who out of health necessity do succeed in living gluten-free.

This book merits five stars. For people who really need it, "Easy Gluten-Free" could be a lifesaver.
Going gluten-free or wheat-free is not all that easy at first and this book just made it a lot easier for me. I spent a lot of time in a book store perusing a pretty large selection of gluten-free cookbooks, and this one stood out as having the most info with seriously easy and creative recipes to boot. You're not paying for glossy color photos. The American Dietetic Association has a winner with this book.

Thanks to the internet (and increasing allergies to wheat and gluten) the availability of lesser known ingredients such as teff flour is less of the problem it once was.
