For sure sharing housework do life easier to parents and teaching to young to be more independient at the same time. Due to economic downturn many mothers have had to start a job, that means they do not have much time to do housework so that need younger's help.

Kids allowance is food, clothing, a roof over your head, heat, air, water. All things kids take for granted.
