I used this book in high school and my high school history teacher had given me a copy to keep. I had it for a number of years. After a move I misplaced it and was very happy to find this copy on Amazon. The book covers a plethora of our nation's historical topics and is very well written. I do not believe this book is used anymore in public schools. If you are a history buff, this is worth picking up.

Trying to save some money on school books, my teacher said these were fine (older edition that what was called for) contained basically the same information as the newer version.

This book was required for my history class and although I am not big on history the book was really easy to read and had a good flow to it. Most textbooks I have to really force myself to read and that was not the case with this one.

The book arrived in good condition, and the price was decent. It was a gift for my husband who likes to read up on history.
Thought that it clearly stated the events. Also, the book has very nice pictures to view. This is a cheaper price than college bookstores.
