Description

Understanding Ic Operational Amplifiers/22484.

Understanding Ic Operational Amplifiers/22484. Understanding CMOS integrated circuits. Melen Charge-Coupled Devices - Technol (IEEE Press Reprint Series).

Roger Douglas Melen (born 1946) is an electrical engineer recognized for his early contributions to the microcomputer industry, and for his technical innovations. Dr. Melen was co-founder of Cromemco, one of the earliest microcomputer companies. At Cromemco he developed color graphics systems that were widely used in television broadcast, and in mission planning systems deployed by the United States Air Force. He also developed the first microcomputer systems widely distributed in China.

This is a great book, it contains most of what you need to know about operational amplifiers, starting from the basics to the inner workings of the device. May I say that probably what I find most appealing about this book are the "end of chapter" problems?, perhaps the best approach to end of chapter problems I've ever encountered in an electronics textbook, let me elaborate on that: Instead of just being mere academic circuits with no use, starting from chapter 1 you will find a great deal of useful.

8 Understanding Operational Amplifier Specifications. Later op amps were made smaller by implementing them with discrete transistors. Today, op amps are monolithic integrated circuits, highly efficient and cost effective.

Chapter 2: Operational Amplifier Internals. The goal of this text, as its name implies, is to allow the reader to become proficient in the analysis and design of circuits utilizing modern linear ICs. It progresses from the fundamental circuit building blocks through to analog/digital conversion systems. The text is intended for use in a second year Operational Amplifiers course at the Associate level, or for a junior level course at the Baccalaureate level.

At Cromemco he developed color graphics systems that. During this period and Melen published two books: Understanding IC Operational Amplifiers and Understanding CMOS Integrated Circuits; the MITS Altair computer, which launched the microcomputer industry, was introduced in January 1975 issue of Popular Electronics magazine. That same issue carried an article by Melen on solid-state image sensors.
