The book covers different Data Converter architectures. The coverage by itself is not sufficient to undertake a data converter design rather it should be treated as a starting point. However, this is not why I am giving this book a "one star". The book is almost incomprehensible. Sentence structures are awkward and confusing. Sometimes, I wonder even a good editor could salvage this book. Bottom line, the author is well known circuit designer and you may extract some useful information if you are willing to read each paragraph at least twice.

The book covers lots of interesting topics in A/D and D/A converters. Lots of insights and detailed analysis are provides. Yet, I'd say it is very hard to understand the author. Terms and jargon are ill defined. I constantly get lost not because of the content but the way he is phrasing the story. I've barely finished the first chapter. Not recommended as an entry-level textbook, especially English is not your first language.
