I love these puzzles . They are challenging and interesting. I have found a few that didn't make any sense to me but as long as I ignored the circled squares and didn't try to figure out why they were circled the puzzle was okay. I like the fifty puzzle size book as it is easier to work with than the larger books. I have been working the NYT Sunday Crosswords for several years and will continue as long as continue printing them.

So a serious crossword puzzler, there are few better than the NYT Sunday Crosswords. However, the print on the clues is so tiny that I had to get out a magnifying glass to read them, and that's a royal pain. The clues look as if they were printed in 8-point type or even smaller. That's a huge minus.

I love this whole series. I've tried books of Sunday puzzles from other newspapers, and still find these the most engaging and somewhat challenging. Not so bizarre that they can't be wrestled to a conclusion, but not too simple for a seasoned puzzle fiend.

I loved it ... these are actually over 10 years old and call for knowledge and responses known at that time...had to go back into memory - good!
always a great challenge
