Living Proof of the Success of Alternative Medicine. Published July 6, 2006 by Trafford Publishing. As a Doctor of Chiropractic for fifty-five years, I have had the good fortune to help heal hundreds of patients.

Spontaneous Healing book. The book essentially starts off by providing multiple anecdotal illustrations of the miracles of alternative health when traditional medicine has failed. The body can heal itself. Now admittedly these stories are exciting and inspiring but they are also manipulative. I'm not one to ignore the power of nature or write off the seemingly miraculous despite lack of physical evidence - after all there is a reason I studied this in undergrad (in fact I almost decided to become a naturopathic doctor).

Nor about the slow numbing of the arms, the creeping paralysis of the muscles as the fingers tried to work against the cow’s powerful expulsive efforts

Nor about the slow numbing of the arms, the creeping paralysis of the muscles as the fingers tried to work against the cow’s powerful expulsive efforts. There was no mention anywhere of the gradual exhaustion, the feeling of futility and the little far-off voice of panic. My mind went back to that picture in the obstetrics book. A cow standing in the middle of a gleaming floor while a sleek veterinary surgeon in a spotless parturition overall inserted his arm to a polite distance.

After reading this book I am inspired for two reasons. First, this book reads easily and simply while providing common sense answers to everyday problems. It explains in simple terms how non physicians can look at problems they may be having, think things through, and shows you simple ways of treating them in a safe, effective manner. Secondly, I have been a practicing Chiropractor for over twenty years, and these stories keep me inspired to continue practicing my profession. Though these stories are about real healing miracles they are easy and fun to read. Dr. Rude is a phenomenally talented healer yet very humble considering all the lives he has saved. I aspire to still be treating patients when I am 83! Chiropractic care is part of a wellness lifestyle and these stories prove it.

Thank you Dr. Rude for giving hope where it may have been lost. G.Pinto,D.C. Aurora Colorado

This is the book for nonbelievers, like me. Filled with solutions to health problems that traditional medicine can't always cure. If you've never considered chiropractic treatment, Healing Miracles will make you reconsider. I recommend Dr. Rude's succinct and engaging book on alternative healing methods. You'll love the real-life stories, too.
