This is not one of "revolutionary diet that will change your life in 10 days", this is a compilation of well-known truths like - eat enough, but not more, stick to interesting physical activity, deal with your emotional baggage and remember that feet are for walking, not pressing your car's pedals! If you follow advices given by the author you will create your own diet and sport regimen, keeping which you'll eventually reach your ideal weight. Good solid logical book.

What I like the most is that they're not trying to sell anything! Good common sense is what they are telling everyone is needed to find a lifestyle of eating and exercise. Small steps and stop shaming yourself. I recommend this book for all who are tired of dieting and want something better.

I highly recommend this book for any one who wants to lose weight. I started 6 months ago and lost 50 lbs. I wish I had this book. He has many ideas that are so simple. I saw myself in the book why I eat, patterns to break and advice how to do it. I will be re-reading this book over and over.

This book gives you tips on how to read labels, what and what not to eat
to cut fat, how to lose weight properly, and how to get over excuses that
you cannot do it. Worth a read.

As a "professional" dieter for many years I was a bit skeptical when I purchased the Automatic Diet. While it is true there is no magic formula for weight loss ( too bad), I did like the practical approach suggested in this book. Although a lot of the information is just plain old common sense, it provided a refresher course on the best way to succeed at any diet, simply but making simple but permanent changes to make your "diet" a permanent way of life, hopefully leading to permanent weight loss.

Didn't. Really learn anything new but reinforced sound behavior information and I felt it gave me the support I needed to move forward. I have tried it all and know there are no quick fixes but a methodical plan to once and for all to change my eating style one decision at a time and look at behavior and choices in the long run.

This is a great little book. I ordered in on Kindle and am really glad I did. Good insight and easy to follow.
This combined with Beck CB - is a good read. Much of what I have read is basically the same - including this - but the style is direct and its easy to go back to for review.
