This is the best diet ever. I have been watching my weight for the last 40 years and been on every diet imaginable. I lost weight more quickly on the high protein diet, but was so hard giving up sweets and carbs. You will regain almost immediately when you get off. This diet works!!! Make sure to read the book, it is not boring at all and will inspire you to stay on track. Has before and after pics of many clients,with their weight loss story. I really didn't believe it would work initially, but it did. You don't feel deprived since you can basically eat from every food group. . Most importantly, you need to eat the snacks and space them out as directly. You will not be hungry if you follow the instructions. I lost 35 pounds in three months. After you reach your goal weight, it provides maintenance so you are not left wondering. Try it, you will not regret it!!

Audio books are the best kind as far as I am concerned. For me, I wanted to find an audio book that would:

1) Inspire me to loose a few pounds.
2) Keep me motivated.
3) Be a change in lifestyle and NOT a diet.

This audio book meets all three of my above requirements. Mr. Cruise is pleasant to listen to and very down to earth. He explains that this book is for the person who loves to eat and wants a lifestyle change and not just another diet! For me, I have followed this audio book and it truly works for me. The best thing is that I pre-plan my meals (all 6 of them, they are just smaller) and I write down in a notebook the night before what foods I will eat for my meals the next day.
What a wonderful way to keep me organized and healthy!

As a "professional" dieter-having tried and paid for almost every pill, diet and device in the universe-I can't say enough positive things about this book,as well as the online site the auther developed. This eating plan is totally livable, easy to follow without weighing and measuring, and ultimately the best thing since white bread (no pun ingtended). I have been on this for only 2 weeks now and I am down 6 pounds-no easy feat for a 58 year old short woman who has another 20 pds. to loose. I highly recommend this book, and his eating plan as well as his simple exercise plan. In addition, having used other weight loss sites, I truly love his -it is easy to navigate, has a great deal of inspiration from people all over the place who have lost huge amounts of weight(and I mean huge-like 155 pds) and had great ideas that are easy to implement.

I got this book about a month and a half ago. I also got the cookbook and followed the recipes. I started on the diet for real 1 month ago. In the last month I have lost 20 pounds and 2 inches off my belly. All I have done is followed the diet with a little cheating and jogged 2-4 times a week for 30-40 minutes (not part of the diet, but a good idea since I cheat a little). I don't know how proven the science is behind eating every 3 hours, for me it is more of a psychological thing...if the meal I just had didn't seem to totally fill me up it doesn't matter because I know I'm going to eat again in another 3 hours. i also like that it does not rely on only one type of food nor does it totally prohibit any food. It is all about decreasing calories and portion control. The cookbook is so great because if you follow the recipes you don't even have to think about how any calories you are eating because they have already been counted for you. Admittedly some of the recipes are not all that great tasting, but there are o many of them in there that we have found plenty that we love. This is not just something you do half heartedly, it is all or nothing if you want results, but it is very easy to stick to. It is not just a temporary "diet" it has become a way of lifelong healthy eating.

I have not been exercising for the past few weeks, but I continue to lose weight. I have lost a total of 27 lbs. and 4.5 inches around my belly.

Update 11/23/07
I survived Thanksgiving! I had all the Thanksgiving food I wanted, but nothing more. I have now lost 35 pounds in a little more than 3 months. I have lost 6.5 inches off my belly.

I made it from Thanksgiving through New Years and not only did I not gain weight but I lost some. I have now lost 40 pounds and 6.75 inches! I would have lost more, but I admit I cheated a little over the holidays. Still I was able to cheat and enjoy the festivities of the holidays and still lose 5 pounds.

This is the best book for condensing all that common sense eating knowledge that you have always known about but failed to put into action. Jorge does an excellent job of easily explaining how you need to eat, and when you need to eat. I have been on the plan for 9 weeks and have went from 170 pounds to 152. The eating schedule and foods are a permanent part of my life now. Buy the book and follow the plan to the letter for the first 4 weeks. You can modify it for you own life after you see how it works.

UPDATE: It has been six months now on the plan and I have lost
33 pounds. I have started back to the gym for weight and strength training, but I am using a more hard-core approach to exercising now, running and walking 4 miles a day and lifting weights. However, I still try to stick to the eating plan laid out in this book and am maintaining a healthy eating style. I am back in my size 6 clothes, which I never expected to wear again after 3 kids in 3 years (a set of twins in there!)

I have had this book and the 8 minute exercise book for 1 week. It has been challenging but I followed both the best I could. I started at 302#. I weighed today at 292.4#. I could not do all the exercises exactly like it said due to my size. But I was determined to try. This is something I can do with my the help of my support team. I feel these books are an answer to my prayers. The testimonials have been inspiring. My sister and I are working together to become healthier.
