Having a wonderful VHS tape of Taiji Qigong that I can no longer view, not available on DVD format, I bought this book. The practice of qigong yields many health benefits, along w/ improved sleep, more patience, etc. This book explains the whys & hows of each movement involved in the steps to make a complete picture. I found it was "fine tuning" to my existing practice, based on the video tape I originally learned from.

This book is apparently out of print. I purchased a used, library copy in very good condition. The information is well-presented and offers an informed understanding of Tai Chi as a form of Qigong. Highly recommended for anyone, who wishes to know how Tai Chi movements correspond to movement of chi via the meridians described in traditional Chinese medicine.

Great knowledge and a wonderful way to teach through print. I had heard of qi gong shibachi and seen it demonstrated. No one I knew of knew much about it. I was excited when I found this book, and wasn't disappointed. Great step-by-step instructions for each of the movements accompanied by illustrations (line drawings) accompany an introduction that explains this form of qi gong and the flow of energy within the movements. I highly recommend it
