UNIVERSITY OF ABERDEEN GUY STOCK Learnirzg from Error: Karl Popper’s Psychobgy of Learnirzg By WILLIAM BEKKSON and JOHN WETTEKSTEN Open Court, 1984. 5 T h e authors have a worthwhile project. Unfortunately, they do not have a worthwhile book. A tendentious foreword by Agassi declares otherwise, describing the book as thrilling - a piece of sales-patter quite in 98 keeping with the style of pretentious self-advertisement adopted by the authors. A work of more solid merit would not need to make so much fuss about its own importance. T h e main plot is easily told.
