If you are anywhere between the ages of 4 and 400 you would have to dig pretty deep to find anything to complain about in regards to any of Hank the Cowdog books. These are truly universal in appeal. As a great grandfather I can laugh as loud and as much over the antic of Hank as my children and grandchildren.

In this episode, Hank pays a visit to his beloved sister; a sister who is less than happy with Hank's sudden visits. This time though Hank finds she and her family are being harassed and bullied by Rambo the town dog bully. Will Hank allow this to go on. Is this something a top of the line blue ribbon ranch dog would allow? One thing about Hank, if he can't whip them he can outsmart them or, more often than not, we find that Hank is simply a very lucky dog.

We have some wonderful conversations between Hank, Drover, Pete and of course Hank's sister and Hanks friend at the local dog pound.

The author has sort of a formula he follows; something that I normally don't like, but in this case it works. With so many books now in publication (I think there are now over 60 books in this series) I am amazed that the author is able to come up with completely new and hilarious situations.

Loved this book.

Every "Hank" book is the same, and every one a pleasure. I read them aloud to my 5th graders, to my kids and to myself. We all enjoy ourselves, sometimes laughing out loud. Hank is arrogant enough to laugh at, and his entourage provides a perfect backdrop for his inevitable comeupance. One thumb, way up!

For readers of any age the Hank The Cow Dog series is one of the best. It will hold the attention of older struggling readers with lower abilities. Parents reading to their children will enjoy the books as much as the kids do. With wit and humor the adventures of Hank keep us turing the pages. I have not read every book in the series but I will.
Amazon should make a complete set of these available.

these audio books are great, the music and voices make the stories. Parents who have kids that love dogs must get these. Way more entertaining than TV.
