I am so thrilled to finally have this book since it is out of print. I first found it at a local specialty library and I use it to teach manners. First I read the kids the original version of Goldilocks and then this book. What a great teaching tool and a fabulous story. I then have the kids make teddy bear jewelry or teddy bears out of clay so they can remember the story and I ask them to tell me what is different about this version of Goldilocks and how she did get her manners.
Thanks so much.

Wonderful way to get a good laugh out of an old tale. The grandchildren love it! Dom DeLuise is delightful in his storytelling.

Dom Deluise not only took the classic story and put it in his own voice, but called Golidlocks out on her bad manners and gave a better ending, with Goldilocks actually learning her lesson, making amends with both her parents for running off and the bears for breaking and entering and becoming their friend... Your kids will giggle their heads off, not to mention the two lovely recipes at the end of the book to fit the story.

Our kids are now grown, however recently, while culling the book shelves, I decided this book was a keeper. The wonderful memories we have reading this to our children, makes this book a keepsake. Bonus: the pasta e fagioli recipe has stayed in regular rotation during the winter months since the kids were little! Over the years, the only addition to the recipe was some crumbled italian sausage, when our son headed over 6ft and became a bottomless pit!

Coming from an Italian family, the touch of Italian culture makes this a very special addition to our childrens library. Suggestion, when reading this book use your minds ear to hear it in Dom's voice. My wife and I read this book with out our children and crack up.

My children loved the different take on this story. I had to read it over & over. The illustrations were beautiful.
