Frantastic Voyage book. Franny's faithful lab assistant, Igor, has swallowed a doomsday.

Even for a mad scientist, Franny’s lab was unusual. Her experiments and inventions were far beyond those of your average, everyday mad scientist. In fact Franny’s work was so complicated that she found she could not do it alone. She had a lab assistant named Igor

Even for a mad scientist, Franny’s lab was unusual. She had a lab assistant named Igor. Well, he wasn’t a pure lab. He was also part poodle, part Chihuahua, part beagle, part spaniel, part shepherd, and possibly part some kind of weasly thing that probably wasn’t even a dog. Franny had been through a lot with Igor, and he had learned a great deal about mad science working with Franny in her laboratory.

Franny's faithful lab assistant, Igor, has swallowed a doomsday device that is ready to go off at any moment! For any regular scientist, there is only one way to get the device out -- um...make that two ways. But Franny K. Stein is no ordinary scientist, so she concocts her own way to get the device back and save her friend. With her miniaturization machine, Franny shrinks herself to the size of a pin and goes on a field trip like no other...through the body of a ticking time-dog! Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy ride!

I would have only given this book 2 stars, however, my 7 year old daughter loved it, (she wanted 3 stars). The Kindle book is full of spelling errors, which was annoying. The story line was cute but really predictable and simple. There was a good lesson for kids, that watching too much tv can be bad. But I didn't think the book was funny. I think my daughter just liked the little girl Franny (main character). That's why she wanted to give this 3 stars. Overall, I won't be reading anymore to my daughter in this series. I also think the author or publisher needs to fix the ebook issues. I paid more for this book for my kindle than the paperback cost! It shouldn't have spelling errors!

In her fifth adventure, young Mad Scientist Franny K. Stein learns the evils of television and commercials, as well as the responsibility of creating Doomsday Devices. Bugged by her little brother and her lab assistant Igor (a dog whose only part Lab), Franny uncovers her mother's secret of putting her little brother in front of the television when she's trying to work. Inspired, Franny invents a remote control for Igor, and soon the pooch is sitting in front of the television and being influenced by commercials. With time on her hands, Franny invents a Doomsday Device that will destroy all her inventions so they won't fall into the hands of invading aliens out to control the galaxy. Unfortunately, the device will also destroy most of the earth. Things take a turn for the worse when Igor unwittingly swallows the Doomsday Device, thinking it was a grape. Franny has no choice to to shrink herself and go in after it. So Igor snifs her up a nostril and Franny goes on her ickiest, gooiest adventure yet. Thank goodness she likes those kinds of things!
