When Lisa Atwood goes to visit a friend of her mother's and her daughter, Marguerite, in a nearby town, Lisa doesn't expect to have a good time. Marguerite does ride, however, so when she suggests that she and Lisa go riding things start to look up. Marguerite's horse is gorgeous and she's very pleased with it. In fact, so pleased that she rides off and leaves Lisa on a strange trail. Lisa doesn't mind too much--her horse may be old, but she is sweet-natured and it's a nice day. Then the mare stumbles and Lisa is thrown. She can't ride and she can't walk. She's alone with just the horse for company. The mare stays with Lisa, protecting the injured girl and keeping her warm and sheltered from the rain that begins to fall. Can the horse care for Lisa until help arrives?

One of the few good SADDLE CLUB books out there. When Lisa and her mother go to see a rather fancy family, Lisa is bored to death with their daughter. Even more disgusting, she has to listen to the mother and daughter talk about how fancy the horses and riders are. She ends up riding an old gray mare, Tiny, who turns out to be sweet. Then she injures her foot after the girl leaves her and her only hope is Tiny. This book is inspiring, exciting, actionpacked, beautiful, and funny all at the same time. I reccomend it to any Saddle Club fan and it will never stay on a bookshelf for long.

A small improvement from #75. I love the cover bu the book, well. I think these books reley to heavely on snobs for the plots. Seesh, I mean, how many Veronicas can you have? The fact that Lisa, being a "great" horsewoman would do something as stupid as not paying atention to where she was going is just, humph. I hate how Mrs.Bryant adds charcters and then never talks about them again, like the new boy in this book, whats-his-name. If Max is so strict why does he let the Saddle CLub around on such a lose rein? Oh well, at least Mrs.Bryant did another horse/rider bond in this book.

I think is is a WONDERFUL book, even if it did take a while to get to Lisa falling off. This book shows how special horses are.I'm glad that Mrs. Bryant had a horse/rider bond!

Lisa and her family go and visit a friend of Lisa's mother. Marguerite, her mother's friend's daughter rides too. When she and Lisa ride together, Marguerite puts Lisa on an old mare, Tiny. When they split up and starts to rain, and Lisa falls off Tiny and gets injured, Tiny takes care of her. I thought that was amazing! Finally the Saddle Club arrives and helps her, and she is fine.
