I'm 30-years-old.

This is a book I remember from my own childhood.

My grandmother (a retired 4th grade teacher) had many children books at her house.

My younger brother, sister, and I would ask her to read this one quite often. I can recall her asking if there was any other book we'd like for her to read once. I think she was tired of reading this one. (laugh aloud).

I felt lucky to find one used copy of it on amazon.

I wish they would re-print this book.

I remember this book very well from my childhood. My mom and or dad would read this story to us year round, though it seemed to be a special treat during the holiday months. I still have that copy and now read it to my daughter. I've been looking for a new copy of this book for some time now, sadly it is out of print. The copy that I have from when I was a kid is so beat up from reading it over and over again, that it no longer has a binding to it. All the pages are present, but now, are held together by a wing and a prayer. I wish they would re-print this one! It's a wonderful story, and I love that I can now share it with my child.
