SO good! Simple for a child to understand, stays away from stereotypes and tropes about races and people (outside of one illustration-- but for all I know, somewhere in Asia they really do wear the triangle hats all day). They help children make the connection of same/different in tangible ways. They even included that we all bleed the same, which stands out to me as a fantastic physical example for a child.

I bought one for us and one for a child's birthday party. Another mom at the party recognized the book, so I'd say it is well loved.

My daughter is only four months old, but this book is already a favorite. It has colorful illustrations with a focus on faces, which draw her attention. The words sound gentle when read aloud, so I often use this book as a before bedtime book. The message of empathy toward those who appear different is beautiful.

This book did exactly what I wanted! We live in a very suburban, prominently white community and I wanted my 3 year old to get more exposure to diversity. This book is perfect for her age and taught her the concepts of diversity and acceptance without going over her head. A great read!

This is one of my favorite books to use with preschool and kindergarten when teaching and talking about diversity. Its beautifully illustrated and shows how people are the same inside even though their homes, schools, skin may be different.

This book has a great message. I will say that the illustrations are a little weird(ie, the people's faces were not realistic at all, and sometimes slightly creepy). But I will definitely read this to my children.

I got this book for my 5 month old baby niece. I really like how the sentences are short enough for her to sit through the ehole book. She really likes all the bright colors in the pages. The thing that I like the most is the message, she might be a little to young to understand but I know soon enough she will. Everyone should own this book.
This book is lovely. It has beautiful illustrations, and a message that everyone (our leaders in particular) need to be reminded of.
