Spoilers. Big disappointment! Books 1-5 were awesome so I waited to read this book, anticipating how all the stories were gonna end. Ferus was such an exciting and dynamic character. Lune had such potential. But Mr. Wheeler writes Ferus as old and played out. No where near the powerful, dignified Jedi he should have matured into. And Lune is kinda penciled in. Then quickly eliminated!

The whole book is rushed. So whereas X-7 takes about 2 books to break free of the brainwashing technique (described waaay beyond the sensitivities of the 8-12 yr old readers), Luke and other brainwashed victims of X-7's master just snap out of it in a few pages. Mr Wheeler seems either not to know how to carry on the characters, or he just relishes killing them off--in bunches. Poor Div, whom everyone died to save in the Watson books, just dies, not having accomplished much.

I'd like to say he did better with the New Hope gang but they're as cookies cutter as possible. Darth Vader's ability to sense people, even Jedi, thru the force comes and goes. (And he's so easily manipulated!). Han and Leia constantly argue, 3PO frets and complains, and Luke struggles to use the force. There's even a mustache twirling bad guy with contrived confrontations. Sigh....

He could've done so much with Watson's people. Showing how the old and new rebel groups came together. How Trever fared with his family, Div being trained by Ferus, exploring relationships...but nope. Kill em all off and continue with the story Luke. What a waste.

It`s great as it is action packed and keeps the flow with the other books in the series. Down with Disney.

This was a really good book and just what I expected out of a great series like this!????????I really liked how many books there are, it kept my son entertained for a long time!
I thought this book was an excellent ending to the series. Very well written. It had a moving ending. The rolls of the cast were spot on. The entire series was a great read.
