Description

A Complete Book for Astronomy & Space.

A Complete Book for Astronomy & Space. I love Usborne books because they are well-written and straight to the point. The illustrations and photos are beautiful and packed full of information. A fantastic, simplified, all-in-one for the beginning astronomer.

This book by the Usborne publishers is a great book. It keeps the child's interest in Astronomy and has great pictures. Mommy would like to sit and read this entire book which is a surprisingly in-depth astronomy book. I have yet to be disappointed by any of the Usborne books. Nov 12, 2019 Daniel rated it it was amazing. Shelves: library-books. It includes all the planets, solar systems, moons, and constellations. Not age appropriate for Emerson.

This book shows children 8 and up the universe, using the latest amazing information from astronomers around the world, and space probes around the galaxy.

This book would be perfect for a grammar or high school
science project. The full color pictures are stunning.
For example, the elliptical rings of Saturn are depicted
in all of their majesty. The multi-colored columns of the
Eagle Nebula are equally fascinating as is the map of the
stars.

The author tells a fantastic story about the beginnings
of the universe from the dark universe to the formation
of galaxies to our solar system. In addition, there are
interesting discussions about theories of the universe
which include "The Slowing Down Theory", "The Big Crunch
Theory" and "The Oscillating Universe Theory".

There is a fantastic description of our Sun which includes
its structure consisting of the core (27x Earth's diameter),
the radioactive zone, the convective zone and the
photosphere. In addition, there is a very extensive
pictorial depiction of a solar eclipse from the total
eclipse to a partial eclipse.

The Usborne-Complete Book of Astronomy and Science by
Miles and Smith is a wonderful book worth purchasing
for the student in your house.
