Hank Ketcham was born in 1920 and created Dennis the Menace in 1950. He passed away in 2001. The one panel gag cartoon is a classic in comic strip lore and nobody did it better than Hank Ketcham. Ketcham's talent is on full display in the first volume of The Complete Dennis The Menace. Instead of chapters, the cartoons are broken in months. There is some background material on how Dennis came to be and information on Hank Ketcham. Dennis is still in many newspapers. Dennis the Menace is one of those classic comic strips, like Charles Schulz' Peanuts, that will endure forever. This is the third volume in the series and reprints each daily strip from 1955 - 1956.
