What is Marvel Civil War? First, we are not talking about the Captain . That said, aven before the event really started, there were comics leading to it.

What is Marvel Civil War? First, we are not talking about the Captain America movie. I think it’s pretty obvious, but I wanted to specify it anyway. So, it’s a huge event in the Marvel Universe about a law that devided the Heroes. Everything started during a televised raid of a house by the New Warriors. Like all the huge event in the Marvel Universe, there’s a main series Civil War and a LOT of tie-ins. The Road to Civil War. All those (except New Warriors) have been collected in one volume call Civil War: The Road To Civil War.

The Civil War Companion is basically just as it's title implies: a companion TPB to Marvel's cataclysmic Civil War crossover mega event. Instead of focusing on side stories or events during the main Civil War storyline, the Civil War Companion features some material from Civil War authors Mark Millar and Steve McNiven, faux-Daily Bugle stuff, S.H.I.E.L.D. dossiers, and the like as well. As you can no doubt tell, there's nothing here that hasn't been seen before, and if you've been closely following the Civil War storyline, it's aftermath, and everything before and after it, there's nothing here you don't really know already. Then again, it's relatively inexpensive, and possibly worth checking out for Civil War collectors, but casual readers are better served with leaving this TPB on the shelf.
