The book is also great for those earthquake nerds, like me, who have experienced and are interested in quakes . I love history and this book gives great detail of that horrific earth quake. My husband is now reading it on my new Kindle Fire.

This photographic record and narrative is an excellent coffee table book, especially for San Franciscans or those born and raised there and live somewhere else. That would be me! The book is also great for those earthquake nerds, like me, who have experienced and are interested in quakes and prefer not to live on the San Andreas Fault anymore.

Very interesting and informative book. Unlike most books about the earthquake of 1906 in San Francisco, this one addresses the history of The City more and the people of San Francisco. Good information about how people coped with the event.

This is a very good record of the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake in word and pictures. I read it several times in my teens. I was glad to find it on Kindle. I especially enjoyed it after visiting San Francisco, connecting what is there now to what was there then.

Excellent old photos of the San Francisco disaster.

Great book! This is a detailed look at the San Francisco Earthquake of 1906 by a journalist who is clearly familiar with the material.
