I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Skipped through the scandals, divorces, murders and intrigues like an old hand - opened up Palm Beach like a beautiful fruit - rotten to the core.
Written to be easily read - not being American I am not sure of the facts - I can only hope that it is all true. Now I want to read more about the decadent rich, the poor darlings who have everything they could want materially, but live tortured lives - unloved, untrusting, bereft and alone. Makes us all feel soooo much better driving a 10 yr old honda to the grocery store. How can one feel jealous of Donald Trump in Mar-a-Largo when you know he frets about the upkeep ($2.5m a yr and counting) and is just not accepted by Palm Beach society as an outsider? They won't let him sub divide? Poor Don. Ah well! Thank goodness I'm me!

Not a great book in my opinion. Just a book of name dropping of people I never heard of or cared to hear.. Glad I got this as an unlimited book. I flipped pages way too often. A great book to read before going to bed as it will put you to sleep. Gave it one extra star because it help me go to sleep.

A fascinating tell all about some of Palm Beach, Florida's most interesting characters. I found the collection to be informative, well written and enjoyable. Starts with the notorious robber baron Flager, and includes Donald Trump, the Kennedy's, and Murphy the Surf. I recommend.

The author gave us exactly what he promised he would do...a great read depicting all the scandals among the rich and famous...and this was just Palm Beach's scandals!
I knew a few, but not all of them from history.
A real 5-star eye opener!

Flamboyant book with frequent roll of my eyes! Interesting topic but the author should have had a major proofreading before release!

This book is an easy read- that being said I loved every word. I could almost feel the heat of Florida and see the costumes of the era. And the history! Yes it is about the so called scandals, but it takes you to the era and tells you about the people that lived it. Palm Beach Scandals -The First 100 Years is worth every minute.
fast pace, one story right after the other. sometimes it was hard to keep all the people straight. But a fun read.I guess if I could I would give it a 3 and a half.
