Gérard Pierre-Charles (December 18, 1935, Jacmel – October 10, 2004, Cuba) was a Haitian politician and former leader of the Unified Party of Haitian Communists. Pierre-Charles was also an economist and author. In his youth, he worked at a cement plant in Port-au-Prince and organized a union there. In 1959, he helped found an underground Marxist party and went into exile in Mexico the following year.
