One must be pretty deep into an obsession with woven rugs to find the value in this book. But for those who have already succumbed, hours spent with this beautifully presented and thoughtfully written book will not only increase an appreciation of the art, but also very likely rekindle the lifelong search for the next rug. Some of the discussion is fairly presented as speculation over sources, but the overall authority is genuine.

Very informative reference book, but I subtract one star because the gabbeh rugs are hardly mentioned and poorly represented in pictures.
