As I went through the pages I realize this is not exactly a how to book. But it is a book that makes you think. As a designer you have to know in advance what your design is going to be about. You have to have a plan. Which is why I also purchase this book. The author goes into much details of how to think, how to visual before you can stitch. I haven't read it all in detail yet, but it makes sense. How you need to learn to become creative. If you didn't get it in a dream then you have to learn how to think like a designer.

There are various pictures with interesting diagrams on how to make certain stitches which I liked. Also seeing the different types of beads being used in certain spaces or places like bugle beads and sequins different shapes like squares and circles and flowers etc. in odd places and animal charms helps know that the sky is the limit when it comes to art. And it is an art form that makes bead embroidery different from all other beading. It's freeform, its expressive, its colorful.

I don't know if its worth the price I paid but whenever a designer gives you free information that perhaps you couldn't have come up on your own then maybe its worth it. I guess I'm used to getting better prices for my bead books, but sometimes you just have to go with the flow and say, knowledge is power and sometimes you have to splurge, so I'm overall happy with the book, but I did purchase a book with what I needed to know more of and that is how to make design stitches with the beads. You know like branches and how to make a feather stitches with bugle beads etc. So that is another book which I will review in my next review.

Love Robin's inspiration!
I wanted more information on beading for my quilts. This book was recommended to me by a friend as a valuable resource for adding new stitches to my beading. It's a small book, but it is packed with just the kind of information I was looking for. The pictures and illustrations gave me ideas for many future projects. My stitch vocabulary has been increased tremendously and my stitch confidence has been increased just as much.
