"Wonderful book" The Russian beader's are very talented. The beautiful bead work they design is really different. I am very happy Varvara Konsantinov has written this book so American beader's can try some of the work they are doing. This book has some wonderful projects to try. What I like about the book is it's all about using seed beads. Varvara has made the project easy to understand she's added hints to change the looks of the necklaces so you can make them your own and improve on the look of your piece. The instruction are easy to follow and there are lots of diagrams to help you follow along.

Just purchased this book because I was drawn to the artist's work. I cannot say enough about the beauty of the pieces Varvara designs. They are amazing and inspiring. However, found the instructions are vague, and if you follow them exactly(according to the specs she provides), you will soon encounter problems completing your piece. Example: Blue Summer Necklace. If you follow the diagram for the base strip of the necklace(page 37)you will soon discover that the diagrams for the fringe (pages 54 - 55) do not match up to the base strip correctly. Had to tear out several hours worth of work. Also, very frustrating as it took me awhile to figure out that in order to successfully match up the fringe to the base I should have just used the diagram on pages 54-55 (first three rows)to construct the base strip. A simple directive included with the instructions would have solved this. Overall though, I am glad I bought the book and look forward to completing several of Varvara's exquisite designs.

This is an advanced peyote stitch, I won't say book because it's as thin as a magazine with maybe 10 patterns. Not worth the price.

I originally let a friend borrow this book and it was misplaced by them. I absolutely love her (Varvara) books and the patterns are excellent to follow so I bought another one.

I thought there would be more flowers than jewelry

It looks like a magazine rather than a book. Only few projects are nice but it's not worth it to pay $21 for those projects.

The instructions aren't that clear and neither the graphs, I would not recommend it to anybody since there are much better books out there (e.g. The beaded garden - Diane Fitzgerald).

I have seen many Russian books on beadings and there are much more interesting and worth to be translated.
