Someone gave this book to my daughter for her birthday and we decided to build the traditional playhouse that is on the cover. Although it took almost a month of weekends, it was well worth the time! She and her friends spend all their play dates in it and we always know where they are. This looks like the most advanced project in the book and I am a weekend carpenter, but didn't have any trouble following the plans. We are working on the "Spook House" for Halloween and the whole family is having fun adding their imput! Highly recommend this book for anyone with any building experience.

I liked the fact that it started out with the most basic - a cardboard box! But it had some ideas for going beyond the basic shape - I am not a carpenter, I bought it to inspire my husband - but I was very pleased to see the variety of ideas. I liked the lean-to idea - you don't really need to be a carpenter to make it work. I also liked the little house made of lattice - thought that was a great idea, especially if you cover it in vines.

Lots of imagination here, a good place to start - I'm glad I bought the book

This is a good informative book. It's not full of color photos, so it doesn't squelch your own creativity. There are lots of drawings and plans with material lists for really great playhouses.

With a little quality time with your child help building this is unspeakable. My daughter loved hers because what she did not know was I enhanced the size. I have also priced these kits and they cam range from $2000.00 and up. I have seen these being raffled off for churches, non profits.

It would be nice if the book had more wooden houses to choose from. We are interested in a playhouse, such as the cover of the book. The cover is why I bought it. We already have a play structure. I would have liked to look at a book with just playhouses. This book goes into lots of different structures, that were simply no interest to us. Felt like this book was a waste of money for us.

Found a playhouse design for my grand daughters yard. With some modifications to the design I built it in sections so it could be transported 150 miles and then set up. It is solid, definitly going to be there for awhile and she loves it. Turned out very cute, but warning an adult does fit in there but its tight.
Still fun.
