Theodore Lyman's book of letters is just a absolute treasure. Lyman was in a position to observe the upper echelons of the Army of the Potomac's high command and his letters to his wife really provide great information. Lyman was a close friend of George Meade who was commander of the Army of the Potomac and the letters provide a very human view of the irascible Meade. I join with Brooks Simpson (who wrote the introduction) in wishing that there was a nice, new biography of George Meade.

Theodore Boone returns in this sixth adventure from international and worldwide bestseller John Grisham! Thirteen-year-old Theodore Boone knows every judge. I really enjoy reading the Theodore Boone books in general and Theodore Boone: The Scandal in particular. As I have said before, these books are written for pre-teenage children, but are just as interesting and entertaining for adults. This series teaches ethical and moral lessons to children and adults! Well done Mr. Grisham! Theodore’s Uncle Ike is a disbarred lawyer, the reasons for being so are hinted at, but I suspect will be revealed in a future book! I look forward to this plot twist.

Theodore "Theo" Boone is a fictional character created by John Grisham, who is the title character in Grisham's legal series for children. As of 2019, Boone has appeared in seven books. Theo dreams of following in their footsteps one day, becoming either a lawyer or judge
