Description

Litigation paralegals must be highly organized and pay close attention to details

Litigation paralegals must be highly organized and pay close attention to details. Performing these job duties often takes coordinating a team of people and liaising with both internal departments and external organizations.

Paralegals technically have very limited rights to conduct litigation/rights of audience before courts/tribunals. an organisation which administers a paralegal career path – the Route to Qualification. In practice though many appear in courts and particularly tribunals at all levels as assistants. The R2Q turns a job into a career, and an occupation into a profession. It is supported by scores of local law societies, university law schools, law firms and others.

The Paralegal's Litigation Handbook by Carole Bruno sits on my desk like a dictionary. I promise you, every item you can think of about litigation is in that book, including definitions, form templates, time management, systematic instructions on what to do next, how to find and answers, etc. I could probably write a book describing this book, but it has saved my behind more than I care to count.
