Thy Neighbor's Wife is a non-fiction book by Gay Talese, published in 1981 and updated in 2009. The book is an exploration of sexuality in America from after World War II through the 1970s, with notable discussion of the free love subculture. It provides a snapshot of liberated pre-AIDS sexual morality. In preparation for writing the book, Talese resided for several months at clothing-optional resort Sandstone Retreat.

ned throughout a reluctant participant, or so he preferred to think. Judith, however, was anything but reluctant, for it had been she who insisted that they accept Williamson’s challenging test of open infidelity, hoping that it just might be the therapy she needed to overcome her lifelong feelings of dependence.

Read by Carole Boyd. Andrew and Annie Bishop and their four children are strangers to village life. They have dreamed of a place like the Old Rectory in Round Ringford - of a village in the heart of England with changeless rituals: church fetes, harvest suppers, bonfire night and pub gossip. But they don't understand the delicate blend of friendships and family which holds the fabric of such a place together and their lack of consideration will set in motion a tragic train of events which will change things forever.

then read the round ringford series, i have read the lois meade series, and ivy beasley books, not all yet, but i think the round ringford series is ann pursers best, i find myself pulled into the lives of the people in this villiage, as though i want to pick up the phone and call them to offer some support in their crisis.......i am sorry that there are only 6 books in this series and ann purser seemed to abandon them for the meade series........

I have enjoyed this whole series of books. I had never heard of this author but love books about English country life and this series filled all of my expectations. The people seem to be real people with all the foibles we all have, they stay true to character throughout the books, and the descriptions of the village and countryside are wonderful. I felt like I wanted to live there and meet them all. This was the last book I have found of this series and I keep thinking there just must be one more!!

This book is second to last in a series of British novels. This is an older series and this book is difficult to find. Very good reading.
