Read Appaloosa, by Robert Parker online on Bookmate – New Mexico Territory . One fee. Stacks of books.

Read Appaloosa, by Robert Parker online on Bookmate – New Mexico Territory, 1882: two itinerant lawmen walk their horses down the long, shale-scattered slope into the frontier town of Appaloosa. Summoned by Appaloosa's oppressed aldermen, Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch are here to restore the rule of law. They've done it before, they know what to do only too well: shoot quick, shoot clean, reload. But they aren't the only new arrivals in town.

Coronet Books was established in 1966 as the paperback imprint of Hodder & Stoughton. The imprint was closed in 2004 but then relaunched in 2010, publishing fiction and non-fiction in hardback and paperback, including works by Chris Ryan, Lorna Byrne, and Auberon Waugh. The French Connection – Robin Moore. The Anderson Tapes – Lawrence Sanders (1971). The Shakeout - Ken Follett (1975). Bring on the Empty Horses – David Niven (1977).

The Boston House Saloon was the best in Appaloosa. It had a long, teak bar with a big, gilt-framed mirror behind it. At night, the room was lit by coal oil lamps on a chandelier that could be lowered and raised on a chain and pulley

The Boston House Saloon was the best in Appaloosa. At night, the room was lit by coal oil lamps on a chandelier that could be lowered and raised on a chain and pulley. It was late afternoon, and the place was empty except for the bartender and three off-shift copper miners drinking beer. The bartender was Willis McDonough. McDonough was a fat man who always wore white shirts fresh from the Chinaman.

Appaloosa, Robert B. Parker. I loved this book, watched the movie first when it came out a while back, then read the sequal to Appaloosa (Resolution) and decieded I wanted to read Appaloosa as well. I'm currently looking for the next one (Brimstone) in the set to read as well. оставлен daled990504. Great western series. This is book one of Parker's Cole and Hitch four book western series and I loved all of them. This is a great buddy book and Cole and Hitch are a couple of bad-ass cowboys with a heart.
